The Ediberto S. Legaspi Integrated High School (ESLIHS) is one of the public secondary schools in the City of Dasmariñas in Cavite. In fact, it is the youngest among the 13 secondary schools in the city. It is founded and recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) on July 27, 2020. The school is located in Barangay Langkaan 1and will cater young learners from the area and other nearby vicinities. ESLIHS is initiated by the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas and in partnership with the City Government of Dasmariñas.

The school is headed by Mrs. Sherry T. Rodriguez, the Concurrent and Principal II of Langkaan Elementary School since June to December 2020 who oversee the full school operation beginning October 5 this year together with the 16 teachers who are borrowed from different public elementary and secondary schools in Dasmariñas and its management is turned over to Mr. Vicente D. Revota, Officer-in-Charge this January 2021.

Amidst the dreadful pandemic, ESLIHS will start its operation this S.Y. 2020-2021. ESLIHS has its School Learning Continuity Plan (SLCP) ready in response and commitment in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the learners, teachers, and personnel in the time of COVID-19 while finding ways for education to continue amidst the crisis for the upcoming school year.

As the DepEd’s mandate, ESLIHS is also concerned in developing the holistic growth of all young learners and become good citizens and partners in the future in sustaining and building a better nation. The school implements the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum under the supervision of the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas. It adheres to the grading and ranking procedures based on DepEd Order no. 8 s. 2015 entitled the Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.

Because of pandemic, the DepEd said that face-to-face classes are strongly discouraged until a vaccine against Covid-19 is available to the public. ESLIHS will have two modalities of learning: the online distance learning (ODL) and the modular distance learning (MDL). Both are home based study.

The potential Grade 7 enrollees are graduates from Langkaan Elementary School and Humayao Elementary School. ESLIHS is situated in an urban area of Barangay Langkaan 1, with plain geographical site condition. From Barangay Hall of Langkaan 1 to the school, tricycles are the modes of transportation in going and leaving the school (vice- versa).

Spanning of 6,280.77 sq. m., the school has a one four-storey building with three rooms per floor with a total of 12 classrooms. It has comfort rooms with complete facilities in each floor. The school has a covered court and three single-storey buildings.

To the students, parents and stakeholders of Langkaan 1 and Langkaan 2, the school is now ready to accommodate our young learners in building their hopes and dreams beginning this S.Y. 2020-2021. This was once a dream, now turned into reality... a new home and a new hope bearer for our future leaders.
